Blaine Lewis
Blaine brings extensive stone setting, fine jewelry restoration, platinum fabrication, and effective jewelry repair knowledge to every course he enthusiastically teaches. Having apprenticed under a master stone setter, he then spent a decade refining his bench skills with an upscale 100-year-old AGS firm. Many top jewelers helped him throughout the years; therefore, he felt it was important that he share his knowledge so other jewelers could enhance their careers. He first built a “traveling classroom” and taught people domestically in 26 different states. Already, he has boosted the jewelry skills of more than 5000 jewelers.
Today, he does what he enjoys most, teaching up-to-date skills so jewelers can advance their careers in less time. He’s been a guest lecturer for the Society of American Goldsmiths and a featured authority at numerous professional jewelry shows. Blaine operates the New Approach School in Virginia and also teaches a special course at the GRS Training Center. His expanding video productions include the ground-breaking classroom-in-a-box Bezel & Flush Setting and The Art of Setting Princess Cuts. He has redefined what jewelry-making videos can be.
