Course Description
This course covers an introduction to basic pencil drawing techniques and observational skills. How to build lines and shapes into designs and objects, as well as improving existing skills, is the focus of this class.
Wonder just where to put the trees, mountains, and rocks in a scene? Or perhaps how to make a field of grass look natural? In this course, students will learn how to create depth, focal points, and proper perspective. Scenes come to life with study on creating shadow and light. Since students can be overwhelmed by a scene, Marty covers how to break a scenes down into simplified forms to build a new, original scene.
By using the principles from this course, students can develop simple yet powerful scenes, as well as more complex scenes.
